I had the pleasure of receiving a “natural look” makeover at the MAC counter. It was on a weekend and it was crazy busy. I watched the makeup artist/manager “Stacy” handle it all with finesse. You could tell she had a real passion for her job. Being a lover of all things art, caused me to ask her, “How did you get into this line of work?”
Interesting enough Stacy had a degree in science and had previously worked as an engineer. She began doing makeup (mostly for weddings) on the side. She would often visit MAC for her make up artistry inventory. Eventually, she was at the store nearly every day just hanging out and helping. Finally, the staff said, “Hey you should work here.” So she began working part time. Her consistency in her passion shined through and led MAC to offer her a job as a manager. Now she has traded in her science beaker for makeup brushes and brings joy to every lady that has the pleasure of sitting at her makeup counter.
